Use Claude to automate email expense tracking
This video will show you how to use Claude for Chrome as a personal assistant without complicated automation chains. You will learn how to track and label your spending from Gmail to Google Sheets in a matter of minutes.

Step-by-step:

After installing the Claude Chrome extension, make a Google Sheet with the following headers: Expense Title, Company, Amount, Date, Renewal Date, and Copy the Link

To view your current tab highlighted in a new Chrome tab, click Extensions → Claude (Claude can work in any highlighted tabs it opens).

"Go through my inbox and find subscriptions from [Month + Year]. Navigate to [SHEET], fill each row with extracted data, with total at the bottom," is the prompt.

Allow Claude to run for ten to fifteen minutes (if you have a lot of emails), then type / → "Create shortcut" to save the prompt as a shortcut.

To keep your spending monitoring completely automated, you can set up a shortcut to run on a daily or weekly basis.
