According to reports, OpenAI is creating a stand-alone social network using their future Sora 2 video model, which would replicate TikTok's vertical scrolling feed but only include AI-generated material rather than user-uploaded content. The specifics: The platform will allow users to approve their likeness for video generation, limit clips to 10 seconds, and incorporate identification verification. According to the WSJ, public personalities will need to provide their consent, although OAI will let copyrighted content in videos unless rights holders specifically request exclusion. Notifications are given when a user's likeness is utilized, and the app has remix functionality and algorithmic recommendations akin to For You pages. Vibes, a fully AI video feed inside the Meta AI app, was unveiled by Meta just days prior to the revelation. Although Sora 2 appears to be on the horizon, significant improvements will be necessary to raise the model to the level of competitors.
